Fettler was fishing alongside a kayak when he spotted the other paddleboarders jumping in to catch their quarry's fish. "I was standing there in a line and just saw these two paddles," he told me. "This is a one-way boat, and we need it to get closer. I couldn't see the other boat in the line. I'm just trying to swim. It's all on the boat, and it just came down on me on the right. And I thought 'That's pretty much it'.

"I don't know what else to say, I'm not sure if they ever come back, or if the others stay. I
